Putting my hand over my heart
I wanted to tell you to the beat of a song
That you are my life and I want nobody else but you.

That I breathe the same air, that I breathe the same air
That I breathe the same air that you are exhaling.

Putting my hand over my heart
I wanted to tell you to the beat of a song
That you are my heaven.

That I breathe the same air, that I breathe the same air
That I breathe the same air that you are exhaling.

Putting my hand over my heart
I wanted to sing a whole song.
That you are my heaven, you are my comfort.

That I breathe the same air, that I breathe the same air
That I breathe the same air that you are exhaling.

Love of my heart. Blood of my soul,
Give me the flowers of hope that let me stop.
To tell you that you are the love of my heart.

Love of my heart, you are my heaven,
Love of my heart, you are my heaven.

Musicians of the Cuban Mission of Oakhurst Baptist Church opened our service on Sunday, 13 March 2016 with a version of Amor de mis amores. The bulletin notes credited Agustin Lara for the song and included what I assumed was an English translation of only part of it. I searched online and found a very different English translation. I kept searching and found more translations and a citation of the artist as Natalia Lafourcade from her album Mujer Divina (http://lyricstranslate.com/en/amor-amor-de-mis-amores-love-love-my-heart.html). The differences made me wonder if Natalia had reworked the original song substantially. I cannot speak or read Spanish, so cannot investigate the matter very far. In any case, I have reworked the translations I found to create a worship song… a song of love to God.
