God you invite us to reach out to all;
Help us to love in response to your call,

Faces are different, so are colors of eyes,
From many places, not made in one size;
Gay, straight, uncertain, we bring our lives here,
Knowing together we can overcome fear.

Jesus was baptized a sign of God’s claim
We too with water are given a name;
He taught deep kindness, his touch was to heal
We seek his peace and his presence to feel.

There is a watermark deep in our souls,
Justice, love, honesty are our life’s goals.
Jesus has given us all a new chance,
Joining together in earth’s heavenly dance.
